After Treaty is signed- 500 POW’s released from Hanoi (North Vietnam)
Fighting in Vietnam continues and in 1975 South Vietnam falls as does Cambodia
US refuses further aid to Vietnam
1973 - Congress passes War Powers Act- 1. Prevents wars from starting without congressional support
2. Requires president to inform congress with in two days of any use of force
