Titles of Jesus - our imitation
  • Messiah/Savior - do I try to help people with their problem and be there for others, or am I too wrapped up in my own problems?
  • Do I try to do too much for others? Am I more of an enable than a helper?
  • Prophet - Who are the prophets in my life and do I heed their advice: parents, pastor, friends, family, teachers ...
  • Who are some current day prophets?  What prophetic advice have I received?  Did I follow it?

  • Servant: Jesus said, “I have come to serve not to be served.”  Do we put this into action each day?
  • Do I make time to help those in need with my time, money, prayers …
  • Son of God - Jesus was the Son of God which makes all brothers and sister in Him. Do we treat others as our brothers and sisters? Do we treat others as children of God? With respect and dignity?

  • Do we seek to guide to those who have been entrusted to our care? Our families, children?


  • Along with giving guidance, are we willing to seek guidance from others?

  • Healer:  Do I seek to be a problem solver rather than a problem maker?
  • Do I seek forgiveness and reconciliation  with those I have hurt?
  • Am I willing to forgive those who have hurt me?

  • Good Shepherd:  Am I a good shepherd to my family? Do I seek to guide and protect them?
  • Am I willing to sacrifice for the good of others ?
  • Bread of Life: Do I seek to be Eucharist for others?  Do I seek to make Jesus present to others through my actions and the example that I set by the way I choose to live my life? How?
