Moral/Social Issues Project
For this project you will be working in a group of 2-3 people (not 1, not 4). You will choose from a list of moral and social issues and complete a project on that issue. The project will include:
Research paper: 3-4 pages, typed double spaced, 12 font, Times New Roman. You are to use at least 4 sources and include a list of sources (not part of the length requirement). The paper is to include both sides of the issues (arguments both for and against – not all issues have two sides) and the Position of the Catholic Church is also to be included. Also include the opinion of the group and why. 20 points
Powerpoint Presentation: 10 or more slides (not counting title slide), 2 or more graphics related to the topic. The PowerPoint should include facts, statistics, both sides, etc,. and should give a good overview of the topic including information from the paper. The PowerPoint is not simple a repeat of the paper 20 points
Presentation: 8-9 minutes- all members of the group are to participate: 15 points
A sheet is also to be turned in with the final project detailing what each member of the group contributed.
Grading Total of 55 points. All members of the group will not necessarily receive the same grade. Those wasting work time, not doing their fair share etc. will have points deducted from their grade.
