The call of Moses
  • Like other birth stories – birth, threat to life, secret life, carrying out of mission
  • When Moses was born Hebrew male children were ordered killed
  • His mother placed him a basket and set it adrift
  • Retrieved by Egyptian princess
  • The name Moses means “drawn out”

  • Moses was drawn out of the Nile and saved
  • He drew the Hebrew people out of slavery and lead them to the promised land
